Guinness World Records: Skating Goat

The biggest motorbike on earth and a
contortionist who drinks tea with her feet
feature in the new Guinness World
Records book.
Also included in the newly released
compendium is Germany's Julia Plecher,
who ran the fastest 100m in high heels -
14.531 seconds.
And among the more outlandish record-
holders is Happie the goat, who achieved
the farthest distance skateboarded by a
goat after whizzing along for a total of 36
metres.

Jonathan Paying More Attention To PDP Crisis Than ASUU Strike – NANS

National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has noted that if President Goodluck Jonathan gave the same level of attention he has been giving to the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the strike by Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU would have been called off since. The students, who slammed Mr. Jonathan’s “uncaring attitude towards the future of Nigerian Students”, expressed their dismay with the way he is handling the ASUU Strike and called on him to personally wade into the matter instead of leaving it in the hands of the Gov. Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof. Julius Okojie, says he is confident that the lingering strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) will soon be called off. Speaking, Wednesday, in Abuja, at a media parley with journalists, Okojie said the commission was doing everything within its powers to ensure a speedy resolution of the issues raised by ASUU so that students could return to school. “We are part of the system and we understand the issues, we are meeting with members of the union all the time and the issues are being tackled. “So, we are optimistic the strike will soon be called off and our children can go back to school in the shortest possible time,” he said.
