Lokoja – The remains of former ASUU
president, Prof. Festus Iyayi, who died in

of ASUU, Dr Ngozi ilo and Dr Anthoni
Emina, were also brought to the hospital
with various degrees of injuries and
fracture.
The medical director said that the
possible cause of late Iyayi’s death might
be a left rib injury which, he said.
penetrated into his heart.
He also talked of shock as the late
professor was believed to be hypertensive
and had some drugs found on him as at
the time of the crash.
Amodu said that both Ilo and Emina had
also been evacuated from the Specialist
Hospital in Lokoja to other hospitals
outside the state by their relations.
He explained that all the victims were
treated free of charge as directed by Gov.
Idris Wada of Kogi.
Meanwhile, FRSC state Sector Command,

full investigation into the remote and
immediate cause of the accident had
begun.
He said that it was too early to apportion
blame on any of the two drivers of the
vehicles involved, saying that no arrest
had been made so far.
Late Prof. Iyayi, along with other
members of ASUU, were on their way to
