DISGRACE: NFF Top Shots Exchange Blows in Public

Image
Despite the triumph of the Golden Eaglets Friday in Abu Dhabi it was a show of shame and national disgrace as NFF General secretary Barrister Musa and the Federations First Vice President Chief Mike Umeh exchanged blows in public, right inside the stadium. Eye witness account has it that problem started brewing early evening when Chief Umeh wondered why members of the League Management Committee were allocated “ better cars” than NFF chieftains. He then and there told a colleague that Musa was incompetent and not fit to handle NFF matters. On getting to the stadium, Chief Umeh was given a Category 1 ticket and again he complained insisting that every country was given 20 VIP tickets and wondered why he could not have one as NFF Vice President. At the stadium Chief Umeh boiled over when he saw members of the LMC in the VIP Box and challenged the GS who said he knew nothing about it “Oga two of us are seating here, I don’t know anything ab...

David Did Not Kill Goliath, The Bible Is Not Infallible! – by Femi Aribisala

One of the myths of Christianity is the infallibility of the bible. Quoting Paul, some Christians insist every word in the bible is “God-breathed.” (2 Timothy 3:16). When you identify contradictions in the bible, they either refuse to acknowledge them or try to rationalise them away with highfalutin apologetics. However, these apologetics have not made the contradictions disappear. All they do is establish that these bible- fanatics are not committed to the truth. Christians generally believe little David killed mighty Goliath, according to the “infallible” account of 1 Samuel 17:50-51. This feat is drummed into us from childhood. However, the same “infallible” bible also credits the killing of Goliath to Elhanan, one of David’s mighty men. 2 Samuel says: There was another battle with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan son of Jair from Bethlehem killed Goliath from Gath.” (2 Samuel 21:19 This record of Elhanan (a...

World Trade Centre Lights Up In New York 12 Years After Terrorist Attack

Image
Over 12 years after a terrorist attack shook the world, New York City can again gaze upon the World Trade Center, after the first test of the new tower’s spire lit up Manhattan. The developers of the new World Trade Center tested the lights on the spire of the building on Friday night (local time), as hundreds of red, white and blue LED modules illuminated lower Manhattan. The glow of the modules can be seen for up to 50 miles (80km), according to the Port Authority. One World Trade Center remains under construction and is expected to open next year. The new World Trade Center stands as a monument to those killed in the terrorist attacks. The committee will announce its decision next week. The Burj Khalifa, in Dubai, is currently world’s tallest b...
